Dear Ms. Kunze,
we are back from a fantastic holiday and already swamped with work. However, we wanted to take the opportunity to express our appreciation for your advice, which always ensures that we have a perfect holiday customized to our needs.
We really loved Ayada Maldives. It is highly equipped but can also be considered a barefoot island. The selection of food options and the buffet was beyond imagination, yet still tasty, considering they have to cater to guests from very different cultural backgrounds with varying preferences for spice levels. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts with our special guest at the table, Leo, the parrot. Our waiter, Jade, made this experience extraordinary by arranging an à la carte breakfast for Leo, fitting his special diet of nuts and fruits. This made our mornings truly unforgettable.
The staff was always caring and proactive, and it amazed us that they managed to memorize all the guests by name, which was truly an effort and much appreciated. The hotel rooms were well equipped and spacious, and we especially enjoyed the garden villa, which was fortunately located at the best part of the beach. Getting up early to watch the sunrise from our direct beach access was simply extraordinary.
If we had to mention a lowlight, it would be the spa. The spa at Ayada was more expensive than Park Hyatt or Six Senses, however the quality and experience were ordinary and did not meet the Asian standards of 5-stars hotels.
Overall, Ayada Maldives was a great experience, and we would consider going back. The island was really nice, with a beautiful house reef, similar to Park Hyatt. (The meal at Park Hyatt being à la carte represented an even higher standard). Even though the resort was 80% utilized, we felt alone, most of the times exploring the beaches completely on our own. It could also be due to the fact that the majority of guests were from Asia, avoiding any exposure to the sun. As a result it was never an issue to get an outside table in the sand, even for breakfast or dinner as those guests usually retreated to the air-conditioned area of the canteen.
Thank you for all your support and valuable insights. We are looking forward to our next vacation using your guidance and EWTC's support!
Best regards, Z. & G.
